Watch your big mouth: Some people bite back!

Holy smokes, it’s awesome to see history being made. If you didn’t see the men’s swimming 4×100 relay in the Beijing Olympics this evening, you truly missed something special. First of all, the French team was heavily favored over everyone. French reporter asked Alain Bernard from the French swim team how they would do against the Americans in the upcoming relay. Bernard said, “The Americans? We’re going to smash them. That’s what we came here for.” Well, Michael Phelps started the relay and Jason Lezak brought the gold metal home by running down the record holder Bernard on the last leg with a performance of a lifetime. Our swim team broke the relay world record by 4 seconds!

I’ve always let my legs do the talking when I’m on my bike. You never know when you’re going to have a bad day or have a mechanical or something. By the way, I got back on my bike this weekend, and it was freaking awesome. I didn’t get out on the road, but just being on my trainer was enough to satisfy my craving I’ve had to ride. It was a little difficult to get my road shoes on again, but I managed to slip them on after a few minutes. YAY! I’ve also been walking around the house without my walking boot on my right foot too. Hopefully after a little while my foot and ankle will allow me to lose the boot for good. I have to admit, it was strange putting on my heart rate monitor and gear on again. I’m looking forward to getting out on the road again.
